I watched ABC's Lost - The Answers last night. It was hosted by producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof. If you missed it, grab the torrent here. After watching it, I discovered a few things. Carlton Cuse said the word 'mystery' at least 85 gabillion times. What does this tell me? That he has no idea what is going on. So I shifted my focus over to Damon. I started to wonder, does he Bic his head, or does he just use a buzzer without a guard? I sure bet it would be fun to have a shaved head like that. You could rub it anytime you want. I'd probably always be rubbing my head. Then again, other people would probably want to rub it, I don't think I'd like that too much. Not that I'm a germ-a-phobe, but just overall most people don't wash their hands after they pee... I don't want pee on my head.
Anyways, my final conclusion from this little special episode was that Lost is all about the people, and their lives, and their opportunity to redeem themselves for their past mistakes, while on the island. Actually, that wasn't my conclusion, that's what Damon said. Well La-Dee-Futon-Da. Doesn't that sounds like an incredibly boring drama. They could have at least lied, and said that the smoke is really Satan, and everyone is in Hell, and you'll be going too unless you run out to 7-11 and buy a Super Big Gulp (SBG) the second the broadcast ends. Because you see, the show wasn't really about people's mundane existence on and island, or advertising revenue, or opportunities in the industry, but rather about the chain of 7-11's that Damon and Carlton own, with sagging sales revenue, that they were just looking to boost by 2-4% by 2010; so they came up with Lost.
