Leave It To The French (Oh, And The Canadians Too)

Check this out.

"Thanks to laser scanning, we were able to uncover the very fine gauze veil Mona Lisa was wearing on her dress. This was something typical for either soon-to-be or new mothers at the time," Michel Menu, research director of the French Museums' Center for Research and Restoration, said Wednesday on LCI television.

Anyone know their stock ticker?! Michel Menu, not only has Menu for a last name - which when trying to explain to his wife how to edit fonts in Word must get confusing when he's like, go to the menu and click fonts, and she's like, what? menu? is there something I am missing here Michel?! - but he works for a company that has LASER technology. A must for any stock I want to invest in. I'm just glad they're not wasting their time with things like, famine, cancer, AIDS, genocide, and instead are focusing on whether a girl in a painting was a mommy or not.

Don't let me forget the other half here, those crazy canucks.

"We now have very precise information about the thickness of the layers," Bruno Mottin, of the French restoration center, told reporters in Ottawa, Canada. "We know how the painting is painted, with very thin layers of painting. That's one of the things we couldn't see by the naked eye, and that Canadian technology brought us."

Well said Bruno - another killer name. It's so sweet to know about layers. I once used them in Photoshop, crazy futon stuff if you ask me man. Seriously, your work is top notch. Oh, did you happen to find that map to the Lost island anywhere in those layers? Or anything cool for that matter?

Colin says,

You'd think the canucks would be done touting all the wonderful inventions they've brought to the modern world... like uh... automatic maple syrup dispenser... OH and the microwave safe (and shatterproof I might add) maple syrup container.

My point is, we all know the Canadians have done a lot for modern society. If you don't believe me, just ask one, they love getting defensive aboot stuff like that.
