How To Use RSS To Capitalize On Craigslist.

I live for Craigslist. I buy and sell everything on it. Since I'm a Bay Area kid, I love to support our local CL, since it is after all, where it all started. I want to share a tip with you that can turn you into the CL guru, and help you score on all the material things that you want, in order to secure your happiness in this world.

Steps:

1. Log onto your local CL. Craigslist.org

2. Do a search for the item that just warms your heart.

3. Narrow your search results down to the exact item, and even areas that you want to purchase from (like East and South Bay only).

4. Depending on which browser you are using, click on the RSS feed icon on your search results page.

5. Hopefully you are using your favorite RSS News Reader like NewsFire, NetNewsWire, or Fuzzy Duck if you're on gasp Windows. Your RSS feed should now be in your favorite app.

6. Wait. Set your RSS reader to refresh often, so that as soon as the item that you are searching for is posted on CL, you can pounce on it like Vince Young did on USC.

That's about it. Use RSS to do the dirty work while you sit back and lust over inanimate objects. If you're more of a saavy CL'er, and looking to sell, then you can use this method to track the items in competition with the one that you are selling. You can then make adjustments to your pricing to be the best deal on CL, and thus guarantee yourself a quick and profitable sale.
