Billboards.

It occured to me that some of you, probably most, have never had the pleasure, rather, the blessing of eating at Round Table Pizza. It's so Un-American of you. Get in your horse drawn carriage and cowboy up to the closet RT that you can find. For the love of all that is Futon.

Just because I still have shirts from high school, doesn't make me any less Motherfuton than I am already. I mean, some of them you just can't beat that cozy cotton feel; even better are the 50/50 shirts. Oh, to be 50/50. I refuse to buy new shirts. Walking around like a billboard for some company, after I paid them for their shirt, just doesn't make sense to me. I mean, that's like how they show commercials before the movie trailers now. So I pay to see commercials. It's brilliant. The little Futon's who thought of it should be shot.

I never really thought that I would lose touch with the "in" style. But apparently I have. When I was younger, and broke, I'd pay so much cash for one pair of jeans, and now that I shower in Benjamin's daily, I'll pay no more than $10 for a pair of pants, as long as they're within 4 inches of my real waist size. So I'm walking around in clothes that make me look like my Dad circa 1980, and I'm thinking to myself, pretty soon I'm going to be pulling up my pants above my belly button, and I'm not going to care.

Juan Sanchez says,

I'm so glad to hear that Noah...RT is the Futon Bomb. I am privileged enough to have one less than 1 mile away from my house. I try to visit as often as possible. As for the pants, viva la raising waist line. As I was in Mexico, I told myself, I can not wait until I just don't care anymore...and can have one of those old man guts hanging over my pants. And not only have one, but be proud of it. Today, you showed me that...well...why not start now! Thank you, I am much more liberated as an american today. Long live RoundTable, the enormous gut, and guys like Noah who just don't give a futon! Love you man, love you.

Suan Janchez says,

RT is yummy but $pendy.
It's all about 100% cotton.
I love the trailers before the movie - the commercials suck though.
The rate at which pants have changed (cut/style/look/etc) is pretty hilarious if you go back to 1987 when i was in Jr. High. I absolutely hated those tight Levi's. When you got junk in the trunk like i do, you need some room to breath. My current 4-Star and Lucky Jeans are much kinder to the comfort of myself.
Lastly, your FACE is a billboard!

FotherMutonPCRules says,

I was faithful and true to round table (I won't give them the respect of capital letters anymore). Their King Arthur takes me to a happy place that can only be achieved by a few other "things" in life. Use your imagination. One day my family of 6 were eating the "buffet" (french word for pay more than you should and get less than you want). My beautiful wife asked the girl at the counter to please make a pepperoni for the kids, since that is all they like. She responded with a glance at the buffet table and "There is plenty of pizza to choose from". My wife told me what happened and I went to the girl and spoke with her. She told me this...now hold on to your Macintosh mouses here "We don't cater to the customer, we have a list of pizzas that we make. Not what the customer asks for". I was flabergasted. I asked for the manager, she was the manager (of course). So I asked for the owners phone number and got him on his cell. Guess what he told me...The same exact thing. Do you think that is the motto that Bill Gates used to get his company off the ground...We don't cater to the customer...Imagine that. So anyways...round table joins the list of other restaurants that I know boycott and tell others about. This list currently includes but is not limited to: round table pizza, panda express and coldstone. You will notice NO CAPITAL letters on any of those less than fine establishments. Sorry, I know that I'm hurtin'some feelings and maybe even crushing dreams, but if it walks like a Futon and quacks like a Futon...It's gotta be a Futon! P.S. El Jardin Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noah says,

I just finished a dually Large Hawaiian from ROUND TABLE last night. This afternoon I chowed down some PANDA EXPRESS, and now I'm on my way to COLD STONE to get me some ice cream. Got to LOVE the Futon!

hink says,

Panda Express is a popular national franchise? I thought they only popped up where the feral cat population was conducive to brisk sales.

See? You learn something new every day.

Down with the rt!! says,

I am down for the boycott of panda and coldstone. it's so much easier when you don't like the place. i will think about the rt. i have boycotted certain stores, not sure if i can ixnae the whole franchise-a.

While we're at it, lets boycott McDonald's (except for breakfast - egg-mc-yummies), Wells Fargo & Shell gas (O'Doyal Rules! and so does Arco!)

Reed says,

They sing too much. And their cake batter icecream got god knows how many people sick.

hink says,

No fair boycotting places you never frequent.

That's like a crimson-naped hayseed boycotting the dentist.

Down with the rt!! says,

Oh I visit those stores... just not real often and only when i am desperate.. tonight on the 10 o'clock news.. restaurants people only frequent when desperate: Coldstone, Panda, Bad Mexican Places, Sub-Par Sushi.. and on other fronts.. dirty grocery stores with plenty of expired goods, overpriced gas stations, banks that charge an atm fee.. oh what desperation drives us to do.. hey wait, why am i commenting on this thread... DOH!!

hink says,

I think we're all waiting for Noah to turn the page.

Posted @ July 3, 2005

Noah says,

I agree with hink, boycotting places you never frequent isn't so much boycotting as it is preaching hatred. And hatred can really hurt people. Hurt them real bad. On the inside, where you don't see hurt, but just because you don't see it, don't mean it ain't there.
