I've been reminded by the upcoming MTV Movie awards, at just how incredibly lame such award shows are. Don't get me wrong, I'm not singling out MTV; the Oscars, Academy Awards, Tony's all fall into this rant.
Note: Normally, I am against the rant. It's too "bloggy" and overdone. Who wants to read about someone's rant? Who cares about that someone and what they think? Anyways, read my rant, care about me, and like it.
Dear Overpaid Arrogant Celebrities,
Where do you get off throwing your own awards show? And what made y'all so worthy of awards in the first place? I've seen CG actors show more authentic emotion than some of you. I find it completely conceited, selfish and just plain silly to give out pretend awards to yourselves; all the while having the media build it up as if careers rely upon winning. I mean, it's not like the millions you made from your last "job" is enough to feed you and some small third world countries for the next 75 years or anything.
I just want you to know, we are all laughing at you. Those not laughing out loud, are laughing in their heads. Everyone else is just watching to see if someone's boob is gonna fall out of their dress.
