So this is the beginning of something I have been wanting to do for a while; that is, have my own little corner of the web where I can post rants and raves, thoughts and concerns, links and referals, and other related matter.
If you peruse the site, you'll notice I've got a few things that I need to finish up. The Worthy of Your Eyes and Ears section will have reviews written by myself and some good friends on music, movies, books, other websites, and that little candy that Mexican kids sell at the border. I have a few reviews coming in already on Mae's new LP, The Everglow, Beck's new one Guero, and the outstanding movie, Finding Neverland.
That's In My Top 5 is something new (at least to me) on the web. It's going to be a ranking of all things that are worthy of rank. From rootbeer's to guitars to cell phones to lawn fertalizer. We'll rank it. And you'll like it.
I hope to update the Giddy Up! with links daily to things that I find humorous, lame, or mind-numbingly boring. I also hope to include a Daily Futon in my daily updates. While this is an ambitious undertaking, I hope to hold up my end of the bargain. Feel free to chime in with comments, or just flame me for my two tone approach to this site's design.
As for you, I hope that you enjoy your time here at the Futon. Be sure to read The Proper Use of the Futon. A quick guide to all those new to the Futon. It'll help you introduce the Futon into your everday life; and probably make you a better person inside too.

I very much like the futon. I find the two-tone approach more than fine. To be frank, it makes the rest of the "Information Super-Highway" seem over-coloured and simply outdated. I will be sure to tell all my friends (and everyone one on my block) to visit the motherFUTON. although, i do have one suggestion ... nothing big. Please consider adding an "r" in the "FUTON." Such as, motherfuRton (or motha' futron). Just one man's opinion ...

I am not sure about this "r" idea. I have used the futon in many many occasions and not once needed an "r." I am hoping for a futon to stay true and pure. or tue and pue.
